How well do older Australians utilise their homes?
Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute examines the way in which older couples utilize their homes. Most live as singles or couples in two to three bedroom abodes; 88% of them are considered as under-utilized. Most prefer to remain in their own home; the vast majority do not favor living with adult children.

A New Social Security ‘Notch’? Bad News for People Born in 1947
Center for Retirement Research at Boston College discuss changes to Social Security, which will result in lower payments to new retirees. The current formula for adding cost of living increased could result in the typical couple born in 1947 losing $12,000 over the course of their retirement.
